Jobs and Opps at The Know, LET, Financial Times, Sifted.eu and Many, Many More ☃️
Join us for our last newsletter of the year! 💥
I don’t officially finish for the year until this evening, but I have already put the out-of-office on. It’s a firm yet friendly one. No, I will not be replying until 2023. No, no one else is working. Don’t contact them. Yes, I am probably swimming or drinking Bucks Fizz right now. My brain has been slipping at the seams for a few days and whacking it on early felt like the best way to stop anyone else trying to claw their way into what’s left of my work time this year.
Like many of us, I tend to find the time before holidays even more stressful. The news doesn’t stop just because we’re off. Your inbox still gets filled up with a lot of PR messages (no shade). And, if you’re self-employed, there’s no one to tell you that it’s fine, the world won’t break, and you can just leave it all until next year. Inevitably, I always try and fit too much in, and before you know it it’s 2am and counting.
This year, I’m trying to make an extra effort to prioritise and safeguard space for the festive. As well as my early OOO, we also held our first-ever staff party yesterday. Maybe party is too strong a word for the three of us wandering around the Design Museum and eating food, but it’s amazing to actually meet the people you spend all day talking to online. And, as an organisation, it boggles my mind that we now have enough people that we can actually have a party in the first place.
Journo Resources simply wouldn’t be possible without the help you give us week in, week out. Whether it’s using the site or recommending it to friends, joining us as a member or sending a reply to one of these emails — none of this would be possible without you and your support. We really can’t thank you enough. I hope whatever you’re doing over the next few weeks, and whatever your work schedule looks like, you manage to find some time to rest, recharge, and close the laptop.

We know it’s a tough time for everyone at the moment — but we’re incredibly grateful for any support you might be able to give us this festive season. Journo Resources is entirely reliant on donations from our members and the adverts we sell. December is particularly hard for us as job adverts dry up, but we still keep working! You can support us by buying a copy of our beautiful printed magazine, gifting a membership as a festive gift, or signing up for our membership scheme yourself.
