Jobs and Opps at Digital Spy, The Guardian, The Conversation, and Many, Many More š”
All of the jobs you should apply for this week and beyond āļø
Yesterday, Journo Resources officially turned five. I know Iāve been talking about it for a few weeks now, but yesterday was the day it happened for realsies and I still canāt quite get over the fact our tiny website and newsletter is five years old. Thatās longer than the gap between the Olympics (apart from when a pandemic gets in the way), the gaps between both leap years and leap seconds, and longer than I have ever managed to hold down a āproper jobā.
Thank you so much to everyone who has helped us to get this far. I really never would have imagined Iād be writing this note five years on. Or, perhaps more to the point, that several thousand people would actually be reading it. Iāve talked before about how sending this newsletter out can feel a bit strange sometimes ā I type the words in my makeshift office and just fire them off into the void, having no real idea whoās reading. But even without knowing exactly whoās there, Iām so incredibly grateful to have you with us, and we really couldnāt have done the last five years without you.
I havenāt really got a neat ending to this newsletter, partly thanks to it all still feeling a bit weird and partly due to all of the wine I drunk last night in celebration. But, I figure thatās kind of OK. Journo Resources might be turning five, but that doesnāt mean weāre at the end of the story, or even anywhere close to the middle. Thereās still a lot that needs fixing in our media landscape. If anything, it more feels like weāre just getting started. Onto the next five, I guess?
