Jobs and Opps at CNN, Bloomberg, the FT, the BBC, Metro.co.uk, and Many, Many More 🦦
Plus, a special offer on our 2024 magazine.
Apologies in advance, I feel like I’m going to sound like a bit of a stuck record in this newsletter opener. But, for those of you who haven’t spotted, we’ve opened pre-orders for our annual yearbook. This gorgeous 100-page magazine is the one physical product we produce every year, packed with features from our fellows, exercises to help you plan your career in 2024, colour-in achievement badges, and much more.
This year, we need to sell at least 300 copies of the magazine. This goes directly to covering the costs of our work in the tough festive months. No one really buys job adverts in December, so the funds raised from the magazine pay for things like our fellowship, redundancy support sessions, and updates to our website. To achieve our first goal of 100 sales, we need to sell ten copies every day this week. Can you help?
As it was my birthday last week, we’re also running a couple of special offers for the first 100 people to buy — it’s kind of become a bit of a weird birthday tradition for me — trying to work out what we could bolt onto the magazines. This year, the first 100 orders will also get a limited edition reprint of our original pin badges as well as a digital copy of our 2022 and 2023 magazines. And, of course, the printed 2024 magazine, which will drop through your letter box in January.
We’ll share more about what’s in the magazine during the coming weeks — but, in short, you can expect some fascinating features from our fellows and useful tools for anyone at any stage of their journalism career. Check out this video from last year for the vibe. You can grab a one-off copy here, or it also comes included with a Tea and Cake subscription. The latter also includes access to our transcription app, workshops, and much more. Thank you so, so much for your support.
