Jobs & Opps at The Economist, The Big Issue, Cats Protection, and Many More 🐱
Everything you need to apply for and read this week within journalism ⬇️
So, this week I’ve become obsessed with TikTok. I’m probably (read: definitely) about two years behind the rest of the crowd on this, but after leading a midnight ideas session last week on what we should be doing next with Journo Resources, I’m a convert. Who knew it was possible to spend so long looking at extremely short video clips?!?
To cut a long and boring anecdote short, we’re starting up a TikTok. We advertised for a freelancer to help us out over the weekend and I got to see even more excellent TikToks under the guise of work. I’ll be sorting out who we’ll be working with this week and then it’s journalism TikToks ahoy. You can follow us here (and me here) when we finally get kicking off with it.
As we roll into the winter, I’m trying to spend more of my time thinking about what’s next for Journo Resources. I’m really proud of what we’ve achieved so far this year, but there’s always room for improvement and I want to make sure we keep creating new, useful, and free things for anyone who’s interested in or working in journalism.
If you have any ideas of things you’d love to see us do (no matter how ridiculous or far fetched) I’d love to hear them. You can always drop me a reply to this email with any thoughts, comments or great TikToks and I promise that I’ll do my best to finally clear my inbox this week. Stay safe and I’ll be back next week.
Can You Help Us Do More With Journo Resources?
